I’ve been relieved to be moving forward with my projects, but I must admit I’ve been having a hard time. One thing I hope for with my content is to help people with different means of mental health. How to care for your own, how to be helpful with others, signs to notice in your loved ones, resources, etc. For a long time, I’ve said that a goal of mine is to change peoples lives by helping those understand these things who would normally not. It’s a blessing and a curse for me to be so well educated in mental health and illness. And while I’m happy to help and I’m happy to teach, I still have to care for myself in the process. People joke about ”mental health days” but in a lot of cases, they are almost necessary. Being surrounded by people a lot (especially empaths) can become very draining and really has the ability to take physical tolls on us. I just encourage you to take the time out to care for yourself in a world where we’re so often depended on to make others happy. Your happiness is important and essential. You cannot help others get stronger and prosper if you are not strong yourself.
As the weather gets nicer, I encourage you to take a few minutes to yourself outside. Give thanks to the universe for another day and as always, deep breaths of fresh air. For those of you that have told me you struggle with meditation, this is a place to start. Peaceful moments of silence.
