Oh Hey There…

I know, I know… I’m on hiatus and under construction… but while starting new projects, I can’t help but miss this. Just thought I’d pop in and leave something for y’all.

I’ve been dealing with some turmoil the last few weeks and I’m relieved to say I feel myself moving into greater spaces of clarity. With that being said, I’ve come to pay more attention to small things that could improve my day and overall mood. I don’t think you realize the impact that your morning has on your entire day. What you read, what you listen to, what you think.. it all takes a huge toll on the energy you’ll take on for the day. I know sometimes it’s hard to get out of bed and to keep going, but you have to remember that you do it all for a reason – whatever that drive might be for you individually. Instead of starting the day off with immediately thinking or saying “I don’t want to go to work/school/volunteer/etc. today”, try having the mindset that you know this has to be done, good will come of it, and I should enjoy myself while I do it. Also, that the sooner it’s started, the sooner it will be over and you will be able to rejoice in your accomplishments. You have more control over your bad days than you think. Instead of waking up in the morning and hopping on social networks, why not take those first moments for a better purpose? Look out your window for moment, embrace the world for all that it is, breathe in fresh air, be thankful for waking up, & maybe even talk to God for a second IF that’s what you believe. Also be mindful, that you are very much in charge of who is around you and who you give your energy to, no one is entitled to your time but you. If someone is toxic or just doesn’t add some type of positivity to your life, it’s ok to let them go or insert some necessary space. Do what’s necessary to have more room for love in your day, embracing each one with an open mind and heart is so essential to being happy.

I’d like to dedicate this post to DJ Black Jay Stevens, rest peacefully. 🎧🎶🎵♥️
